Praying for the Stars

I'm not a huge fan of reality shows.  In fact, I decided a couple of years ago to never watch American Idol again because of how easy it is to make fun of the contestants.  But this year I have started watching it again with Nathan and kinda my niece, Taylor.  Taylor and I e-mail about our favorites but its never negative. I enjoy watching it by myself or others that encourage and don't just make fun the whole time. I am amazed at how much courage these people have to sing in front of all those people.
Dancing with the Stars is my all time favorite show to watch.  I wish I could become a star so that I can be on that show.  I feel like it makes the stars more real to us normal folk.  Not all of them have the ability to dance. Some learn and some struggle but they are totally real on that show.
With that said, I've been on a recent kick.  I really feel like we should be praying for all these stars that are struggling.  Its so easy to just make fun of them for some reason that I'm not sure of.  Britney Spears is often in the news and whether its true or not, whether she has brought this on herself or not, why we don't lift her up is beyond me.  I'm positive that if I had the same struggles that the stars do, I would be prayed for and loved on.
Jesus says a lot in 1John 3 that we should love everyone, no matter who they are or what they have done.  In my 27 years of life I have been shown so much love from people I am close to and some I don't know.  Why not share our love with anyone who's hurting?
That was just on my mind and I thought I'd share.
Thank you so much to everyone who has ever loved on me.

More on Mandy

Well I just got word that Mandy did not receive the liver.  It went to the number 1 person who apparently really needed it.  I pray for that family that they may have peace and that person will be on the road to recovery soon. What a day of waiting!  I only know Mandy through Angie, but I wanted the liver to go to her so bad.
We will just have to pray that she can receive another offer soon and that God will give them peace of mind after a disappointing night.

Waiting on Mandy...

We have become really close with Angie and Jeremy Partain over the past few months.  They have two boys, Cooper and Sawyer(in the previous post) and one on the way.
Angie has a sister in Washington who is on a list to receive a liver transplant.  Recently, Mandy, has become more in need of the liver and today she got "the call." I have been bugging Angie all day to get updates on how Mandy is doing and how the process is going.  She is now in the hospital but still waiting to get word on if she gets the liver or not.  Mandy is number 2 on the list so it still could possibly go to the number 1 person.  I have been praying all day for her and the Partains.  I know that God has his hand in this and everything will work out, but I have become antsy.
If you get a chance please pray for Mandy's health and for peace for her family.
I just got a text from Angie and they are just now harvesting the organs so we will have to wait another 5 or 6 hours. Nathan and I have a road trip package on stand by for them just in case they get the call to go to Seattle. I pray that they will be on their way soon.

Sawyer is 2...

Our friend's son Sawyer turned 2 last week here is some fun with bubbles.  Nathan and I got the big punching bag, it was a hit.

March Maddness

We haven't had snow in a while but this is what it looked like when I took Nathan to school tonight. I thought winter was over here. I'm not complaining cause we are going skiing on Thursday!
